The high-roof insulation consists of four parts, which are attached to the pop-up roof with magnets and connected with Velcro. The front part can be partially rolled down or completely removed for ventilation. Since every high roof can have some height variation, the thermal mats are slightly larger at the bottom and are simply folded over to prevent thermal bridges.

The included metal pads serve as holders for the thermal mats. These are adhered to the rail at the top of the high roof approximately every 20 cm.

Clean the rail with isopropanol or another degreasing agent. Remove the protective film from the metal pad and attach it to the desired location.

The ambient temperature, as well as the temperature of the aluminum rail and the metal pads, must be at least 15 °C! No damage to the roof by drilling is necessary; the pads can be removed without leaving any residue.

Silver or black back?

The black outer fabric naturally heats up faster initially. However, the multi-layered insulation prevents the heat from penetrating and entering the interior. In the long run, both fabric options insulate equally well.

The crucial factor is preventing the greenhouse effect inside the vehicle. This is achieved by blocking sunlight, either through reflection (silver fabric) or complete blackout (black fabric).

Conclusion: For discreet camping, we recommend the black exterior. For vehicles exposed to direct sunlight for weeks at a time, the silver exterior is more suitable.
